Did you know that our 2020 Northern Ireland Open host bowling centre, Dundonald International Ice Bowl also hosted the 1996 QubicaAMF World Cup and the 2008 Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships?

Dundonald International Ice Bowl is a QubicaAMF 30 lane bowling centre, has QubicaAMF's BesX system and is home to the largest sanctioned bowling league in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Open will take place on the bottom 20 synthetic lanes.

Dundonald International Ice Bowl also has the only public Olympic sized ice rink in Northern Ireland, clip and climb, Indianaland (soft play), and a cafe.

Beside Dundonald International Ice Bowl is Escapade Escape Rooms HQ, will you be able to escape on time? There is also Pirate's Adventure Mini Golf outside the bowling centre with two 18 hole courses to choose from.

Directly opposite Dundonald International Ice Bowl in Eastpoint Dundonald there are numerous restuarants to choose from and an Omniplex Cinema featuring Imax!

Format

Qualifying
Qualification will be over 8 games (two series of 4 games). 4-game re-entries (unlimited, subject to availability) will be possible in order to replace the lower of the initial two series, providing the re-entry score is higher than said initial series. If not, the initial series total will be retained. The highest of the initial two series must be retained for the qualification total. Re-entry reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, with waiting lists made where necessary. Ladies bonus 8 pins per game.

Final Step 1
The top 36 players after qualifying will progress to Final Step 1 (Pinfall totals carry forward), and play a further 4 games. The Top 18 overall combined pinfall totals will progress to Final Step 2. Ladies bonus 8 pins per game.

Final Step 2
The top 18 players will contest a further 4 games, with the top 8 overall combined pinfall totals progressing to Final Step 3. Ladies Bonus 8 pins per game.

Final Step 3
The top 8 will then compete a round robin style final with position round to determine the winner as the player with largest overall combined pinfall and bonus total following completion of the 5 Frame Game Style Round Robin Final. There is no ladies bonus awarded on 5 Frame Games in this Final Step.

Primary Entry (2 Squads):
£70.00 - Saturday 16th > Tuesday 19th
£75.00 - Wednesday 20th > Thursday 21st
£85.00 - Friday 22nd > Saturday 23rd

Re-Entries (per Squad):
£30.00 - Sunday 17th > Thursday 21st
